About Sacred Sands Journeys
Sacred Sands Journeys was created from a deep love for Egypt, the desert, and meaningful human connection.
After years of experience in desert expeditions and supporting intentional journeys, Hussein founded Sacred Sands Journeys to bring his own vision to life — creating experiences that go beyond travel and open space for presence, connection, and discovery.
Over the years, he has worked closely with retreat leaders, groups, and travelers seeking more meaningful experiences. His approach is not just about visiting places, but about experiencing the atmosphere, silence, and depth that exist within them. Having spent much of his life in the desert, Hussein developed a deep connection to its rhythm and stillness. For him, the desert is more than a landscape — it is a space for clarity, reflection, and inner stillness.
Travel with purpose
Rooted in an Egyptian Sufi family tradition and shaped by more than 20 years of experience in tourism, Hussein’s work is inspired by the wisdom and poetry of Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi.
He has guided travelers through ancient temples, sacred deserts, the Nile, and places filled with a quiet sense of history, presence, and depth — always with the intention of creating journeys that feel personal, grounded, and meaningful.
